Helldivers Sound re-design
This exercise was done in 2.5 days.
I mainly used assets from libraries including sounds from my own banks (i.e. Endless Space 2 recordings for spaceships) and royalty free banks (Boom, Soundideas, Soundmorph, Glitchmachines).
I designed most of the sounds by layering several clips and applying effects to them, including pitching and creative effects like the Soundtoys suite, of which I used Crystallizer and Decapitator a lot.
As the action is fast-paced but also comical at times, I wanted the sound design to feel over the top and communicate about the raw power of players but also threats.
